Sinopec H1 Crude runs at 3.5 mln bbls/day

Asia’s top refiner Sinopec Corp. declared that it has processed 86.9 million tonnes of crude oil, or 3.5 million barrels per day, in the first half of this year, up 1.82 percent from a year earlier. For full story, click here

Ventures County has spilled 545,000 gallons of crude oil shed

For as long as there has been oil drilling in Ventura County, there have been oil spills. Despite recent changes in the regulation of oil companies, nearly $1 million in fines for spilling oil into creeks, and mandated upgrades to old and corroded pipes, oil spills continue.
